Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a Systems Engineer to lead radio network design, deployment, and acceptance testing across multiple states including MS. The role requires strong RF and land/mobile radio engineering knowledge, experience with ASTRO 25 architecture and related network hardware.

Travel 25-50% is required to support field deployments, testing, and handover to operations. Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field plus 5+ years of experience is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in an engineering or technical discipline; 5+ years of engineering/technical experience OR 7 years of engineering/technical experience.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely; sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical aspects of the assigned project until system acceptance.
• Design and implementation of radio network including infrastructure, subscribers, mobile backhaul and WAN/CEN networks.
• Perform system buildout, configuration and acceptance testing in lab and field environments.
• Conduct radio coverage testing, frequency analysis and interference mitigation.
• Prepare system fleet maps, encryption and radio programming templates; complete system documentation.
