Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking an Engineer of Record to design and implement public safety communications for ASTRO 25 and related technologies across state and local agencies. The role involves remote work with 25-50% travel to NC, SC, GA, supporting mission-critical projects from local to statewide scales.

You will interact with Sales, Project Management, System Engineering and third-party professionals to deliver complex deployments, with a focus on RF coverage, licensing, and system

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in an engineering or technical discipline or 5 years of engineering experience.
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required.

Responsibilities

Design and implement radio networks including infrastructure, subscribers, backhaul and WAN/CEN.
Perform system buildout, configuration and acceptance testing in lab and field environments.
Coordinate with customers and consultants during design reviews and testing events.
Manage live system cutovers and upgrades.
