Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a Systems Engineer to design and implement public safety solutions for ASTRO 25 and related technologies. This remote role involves 25–50% travel to support state and local government projects across the U.S., including single-site installs and statewide systems.

You will lead technical efforts with cross-functional teams and drive system acceptance, covering radio networks, licensing, and documentation. Strong RF, network, and security skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in an engineering or technical discipline and 7+ years of engineering or technical experience.
• OR 10 years of engineering or technical experience.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely; no sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical aspects of the assigned project until system acceptance.
• Design and implement radio network infrastructure, backhaul, and WAN/CEN networks.
• Perform RF coverage testing, frequency analysis, and interoperability testing.
• Prepare system documentation and manage live cutovers and upgrades.
