Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a remote Engineer of Record to design and implement public safety radio networks for ASTRO 25 and related technologies. You’ll collaborate with Sales, PM, and System Engineering on mission-critical deployments across multiple states, including statewide systems and complex multi-site builds.

This role requires 3+ years of engineering experience, a Bachelor’s degree or 5 years of equivalent, and US work authorization. Travel 25-50% to field sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering/technical discipline; 3+ years’ engineering/technical experience or 5+ years of experience in lieu of degree.
• U.S. work authorization required; sponsorship not available.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement radio networks including infrastructure, subscribers, and WAN/CEN.
• Lead customer design reviews, staging, testing, and upgrades.
• Perform system buildout, configuration, and acceptance testing in lab and field.
• Conduct radio coverage testing, frequency analysis, and interference mitigation.
• Prepare fleet maps, encryption templates, and system documentation.
