Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our Power team. This position can be performed from anywhere in the United States, offering leadership over transmission and distribution projects and direct interface with clients and stakeholders.

You will manage schedules, budgets, and risks, lead multi-discipline teams, and ensure safe, cost-effective project delivery. Travel is modest (approximately 5%), with opportunities to influence large-scale power infrastructure modernization.

Qualifications

• University degree in engineering or equivalent professional qualifications with relevant experience.
• 6+ years as a Project Manager on power/utilities/energy projects.
• 12+ years in the power/utilities/energy industry.
• Experience with scheduling systems (MS Project, Primavera).
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience in developing execution plans and budgets; preparing client proposals.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers, designers, procurement, construction staff, and contractors.
• Manage transmission and distribution projects.
• Oversee staff and subcontractors to ensure safe, cost-effective, timely project delivery.
• Develop, track, and maintain project schedules and budgets.
• Identify and manage project risks and change control.
• Authorize expenditures and approve invoices.
• Provide project leadership and client interface.
• Ensure compliance with internal procedures and industry standards.
