Job summary

Tetra Tech in the United States is seeking a Senior Energy Project Manager to lead complex energy projects across commercial, utility, and storage sectors. This role blends project leadership with business development to grow client relationships and win work.

Hybrid or remote work is possible, with responsibilities spanning project design through execution and regulatory coordination. A strong technical background and proven leadership are essential to drive successful outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Urban or Regional Planning, Environmental Policy, Environmental Studies, or related discipline. Graduate degree preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in energy project development, environmental consulting, business development, and permitting.
• Strong leadership and ability to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Project Manager or Technical Advisor for complex energy projects.
• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, staffing, quality, and overall project performance.
• Develop technical approaches, proposals, and cost estimates and direct multidisciplinary project teams.
• Lead and manage federal, state, and local permitting processes for complex energy projects.
• Provide strategic guidance to clients and project teams on regulatory challenges.
• Oversee teams responsible for environmental planning, permitting, and compliance activities.
• Collaborate with government agencies, clients, internal teams, and external organizations.
• Support operations leadership and senior management to deliver profitable projects.
