Job summary

Tetra Tech invites applications for a Senior Civil Engineer on the Power team. The role is remote-friendly and can be performed from anywhere in the United States.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of civil engineering experience, especially in power, transmission lines, substations, or related fields. A PE license and a B.S. in Civil Engineering are required, with strong communication and leadership capabilities. Experience in site development and design reviews is a plus.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of civil engineering experience, preferably in power-related projects.
• Experience in site development, grading, drainage, utilities/tie-ins, erosion control, and road design.
• Working knowledge of USA civil design standards.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and PE licensure in USA.
• Knowledge of Civil 3D, XP Storm, Water CAD, AutoTurn, and AutoDesk AVT.
• Ability to work independently and in multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Review and authenticate designs for site prep, storm water management, site grading, access roads, and fencing for power projects.
• Coordinate with discipline leads, project managers, vendors, contractors and clients to prepare design and provide clarifications during construction.
• Apply knowledge of North American codes and local municipal specifications and guidelines.
• Provide technical leadership to the Civil team on projects.
• Participate in design reviews and provide technical input.
• Monitor project schedules and budgets and report status.
• Attend project meetings as required.
