Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking a Senior Transmission Line Engineer for our Power team. This role can be performed from anywhere in the United States.

You will supervise engineers, review transmission-line designs, and coordinate with clients and vendors to ensure successful project delivery. Ideal candidates have 10+ years of experience, a US PE license (California preferred), and strong skills in AutoCAD, PLS-CADD, and related design tools.

Qualifications

• Requires University Degree in Electrical or Civil/Structural Engineering.
• 10+ years of related engineering experience.
• Registration as a Professional Engineer in the United States is mandatory, California license preferred.
• Familiarity with transmission lines and design software (PLS-CADD, PLS-Pole, PLS-Tower).

Responsibilities

• Supervise groups of engineers and professionals in the Power sector on large and small projects.
• Prepare and review engineering deliverables for transmission lines.
• Prepare and review material lists, drawings, and diagrams; review procurement deliverables.
• Mentor and provide technical support to team members; ensure design clarity during construction.
• Coordinate with discipline leads, project managers, vendors, and clients for timely information flow.
• Maintain project schedules and budgets; document tasks and design documents.
