Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Senior Project Management Area Lead to guide the Texas-Louisiana region’s Substation and Transmission Line projects. Based in Houston, Austin, or Fort Worth, you will lead a local/regional PM team, uphold WSP’s practices, and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery while maintaining safety and quality.

You will mentor PMs, drive resource planning, manage client relationships, review contracts, and support recruitment and performance management across the BU.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Engineering or related field; PMP preferred.
• 15+ years in project management within Power Delivery/Utility.
• 5+ years leading engineering/construction teams for electrical clients.
• Experience with IOUs, IPPs, Co-Ops, Munis is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide PM leadership for Substation and Transmission Line projects in the Texas-Louisiana Region.
• Ensure budgets, forecasts, KPIs, risks, and client expectations are met.
• Advise on contract reviews, risk mitigation, and Go/No-Go decisions.
• Lead staffing, mentoring, and performance reviews of PMs.
• Maintain relationships with clients and coordinate with area managers on resourcing.
• Oversee QA/QC, documentation, and project closeout activities.
• Support recruitment plans and ensure alignment with business goals.
