Intuit, Inc. is seeking a senior Payroll Tax SME to lead complex payroll tax issue resolution for notices, corrections and amendments. The role combines technical tax work with coaching to build team capability and improve processes.

As a virtual expert, you will handle multi-state returns, provide guidance, and contribute to SOPs and KB updates while supporting cross-functional Tax Notice teams. This position offers flexible hours with potential overtime.

Qualificações

• 4+ years in payroll tax with focus on tax defect resolution.
• Experience drafting penalty abatement requests and agency responses.
• Proven track record in amended return prep across multiple states.
• Strong knowledge of FICA, FUTA, FITW and deposit schedules.
• Lead or SME experience; ability to train junior staff.

Responsabilidades

• Resolve complex payroll tax notices across multiple states and quarters.
• Prepare and file amended Federal/State payroll tax returns (941-X, W-2c).
• Diagnose payroll tax errors across pay periods and drive corrections.
• Maintain high productivity in case resolution with accuracy.
• Coach and mentor teammates; lead knowledge transfer and SOP improvements.
