Intuit is seeking a Staff Payroll Tax Processor to lead resolution of complex state and federal payroll tax notices, amendments, and corrections. This role focuses on fixing tax issues end-to-end and mentoring others on resolution processes.

The position offers flexible hours via SelectTime with a minimum 20 hours per week, and potential for more based on demand. Strong knowledge of FICA, FUTA, and state/local tax rules is essential.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of payroll tax experience with focus on tax defect resolution across multiple states.
• Expert knowledge of state and federal payroll tax notices; able to draft penalty abatements with documentation.
• Experience preparing and approving amended Federal/State payroll tax returns (941-X, W-2c) in multi-state contexts.
• Deep knowledge of FICA, FUTA, FITW and related deposit schedules and penalties.
• Experience as a lead/SME; able to coach junior staff through complex cases.

Responsabilités

• Resolve complex payroll tax notices and amendments across multiple states and quarters.
• Prepare and file amended returns and reconcile to originals with schedules.
• Diagnose payroll tax errors spanning multiple periods; drive full correction workflow.
• Maintain high productivity with accurate correction requests and QA.
• Coach and mentor Senior Processors; share knowledge to build team capability.
• Collaborate with Corrections, Amendments, Pay & File, and Tax Notice teams.
