Job summary

Intuit, Inc. is seeking a Senior Payroll Tax Expert to act as SME for end-to-end resolution of notices, corrections, and amendments.

The Staff Payroll Tax Processor will lead complex cases, coach junior staff, and improve processes while delivering accurate tax resolutions for customers. This SelectTime role offers flexible hours, a minimum of 20 hours per week with potential to up to 40 hours, and overtime eligibility as an hourly, non-exempt position.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of payroll tax experience focused on tax defect resolution across multiple states.
• Expert knowledge of State and Federal payroll tax notices; able to draft penalty abatements and agency responses.
• Experience preparing amended Federal and State payroll tax returns across multiple states, incl. PA/OH.

Responsibilities

• Resolve complex payroll tax notices across multiple states and quarters, owning the case lifecycle.
• Prepare and file amended Federal and State payroll tax returns (Form 941-X, W-2c) across 10+ states.
• Diagnose payroll tax errors across pay periods and jurisdictions; determine tax impact and drive corrections.
• Maintain high productivity in resolving correction, amendment, and notice requests with accuracy.
• Coach and mentor Senior Processors; conduct quarterly coaching with SBIC model.
• Support cross-functional collaboration to resolve interconnected issues end-to-end.
