Intuit seeks a Staff Payroll Tax Processor to serve as a senior SME on end-to-end resolution of payroll tax issues across Notices, Corrections, and Amendments. The role leads complex cases, mentors team members, and drives process improvements while ensuring accurate tax filings.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of payroll tax experience with focus on tax defect resolution across multiple states.
• Expert knowledge of state and federal payroll tax notices; ability to draft penalty abatement requests and agency responses.
• Experience preparing amended Federal (941-X) and State payroll tax returns across multiple states.
• Bachelor’s or higher degree in Accounting/Finance/Business; CPP preferred; EA differentiator is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Resolve complex payroll tax notices, including multi-quarter/multi-state scenarios.
• Prepare and file amended Federal and State payroll tax returns across 10+ states.
• Diagnose payroll tax errors across periods and jurisdictions; drive complete correction workflow.
• Maintain high productivity resolving correction/amendment/notice requests with accuracy.
• Coach and mentor junior staff to build team capability in resolution processes.
• Author and review SOPs and KB articles for core payroll tax processes.
