Qualifications

• 4+ years of payroll tax experience, multi-state focus on notice response and amended returns.
• Expert knowledge of state and federal payroll tax notices and corrections.
• Proven ability to draft penalty abatements and agency responses with documentation.
• Strong Excel skills for reconciliation and audit trails.

Responsibilities

• Resolve complex state and federal payroll tax notices and corrections end-to-end.
• Prepare and file amended payroll tax returns (941-X, W-2c) across multiple states.
• Diagnose payroll tax errors spanning multiple periods and jurisdictions.
• Coach and mentor senior and junior staff, lead training sessions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve interconnected issues.
• Develop SOPs and KB articles to improve processes.
