Intuit Careers is seeking a Staff Payroll Tax Processor (senior SME) to lead complex state and federal tax defect resolutions across notices, corrections, and amendments. You will own the full case lifecycle, mentor junior staff, and drive process improvements while supporting a flexible, virtual work schedule.

The role emphasizes tax problem solving rather than payroll processing, with expertise in Form 941-X, W-2c, and multi-state compliance across the US.

Qualifikationen

• 4+ years of payroll tax experience with tax defect resolution across multiple states.
• Ability to independently draft penalty abatement requests and agency responses.
• Experience preparing amended Federal and State payroll tax returns (Form 941-X, W-2c).
• Strong knowledge of FICA, FUTA, FITW and local taxes.
• Lead or SME experience coaching junior staff.

Aufgaben

• Resolve complex State and Federal payroll tax notices across multiple quarters and states, owning the full case lifecycle.
• Prepare and file amended Federal and State payroll tax returns (Form 941-X, W-2c) across 10+ states end-to-end.
• Diagnose and resolve payroll tax errors spanning multiple pay periods and jurisdictions.
• Maintain high productivity resolving Correction, Amendment, and Notice requests with accuracy.
• Monitor WIP, identify aging cases, and drive root-cause analysis for blockers.
• Serve as real-time resource for Senior Processors; coach via Slack/Zoom and side-by-side sessions.
