Qualifications

• Two years hospital outpatient coding experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM and CPT coding, including CCIs.
• Proficiency with medical terminology and hospital information systems (e.g., Meditech).

Responsibilities

• Assign ICD-10-CM and CPT codes for outpatient services.
• Interpret clinical documentation and determine appropriate modifiers and charges.
• Abstract data into the hospital information system.
• Ensure records are coded accurately and timely per guidelines.
