Job summary

DaMar Staffing is seeking a full-time remote Certified Hospital Outpatient Coder to review and assign diagnosis and procedure codes while ensuring compliance with coding guidelines and regulations. The role focuses on accurate coding, optimal reimbursement, and maintaining provider/patient continuity.

You will work with ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS, analyze records, and uphold federal standards. The position requires an outpatient coding background and CCS/CPC/CPMA or RHIT/RHIA certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Two years of healthcare outpatient coding experience with ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS
• Certification as CCS, CPC, CPMA, COC, CCS-P, RHIT, or RHIA
• Experience coding hospital electronic medical records
• Familiarity with automated patient care and coding systems

Responsibilities

• Analyze and assign appropriate codes using ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems
• Ensure adherence to established coding guidelines, federal regulations, and accreditation standards
• Maintain accurate database information to support optimal reimbursement processes
