Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Formal ICD-10-CM and CPT training preferred.
• Three years of ICD-10-CM/ICD-10-PCS experience in inpatient settings or four years in inpatient medical records.
• Certification as CCS/RHIT/RHIA or CIC required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and code complex inpatient cases using ICD-10-CM/PCS.
• Collaborate with senior coders and clinical staff to resolve documentation issues and provide coding guidance.
• Maintain coding quality accuracy and productivity within established timeframes.
