Job summary

DaMar Staffing is seeking a Certified Outpatient Coder to remotely interpret clinical documentation and assign ICD-CM and CPT codes with accuracy and compliance.

You will analyze records, verify documentation, and support coding audits to maintain a 95% accuracy rate and ensure optimal reimbursement.

This is a full-time, remote role requires knowledge of coding guidelines and 3 years of outpatient coding experience.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical coding certification preferred.
• Knowledge of ICD-CM and CPT coding systems.
• Strong organizational and prioritization abilities.
• 3 years of medical abstraction and outpatient coding experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze medical records to assign ICD-CM and CPT codes based on documentation and official coding guidelines
• Verify documentation to substantiate assigned codes and assist in resolving incomplete or missing chart documentation
• Participate in coding audits and maintain a coding accuracy rate of at least 95% for optimal reimbursement
