Job summary

HPE Aruba Networking in Pennsylvania is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support State, Local Government, and K-12 customers across the Eastern Pennsylvania region. This is a customer-facing, pre-sales role partnering with Territory Managers to design innovative networking solutions and build trusted relationships.

The ideal candidate combines deep networking expertise with consultative selling skills, and has experience delivering presentations, PoCs, and technical proposals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, CS, IT, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of infrastructure engineering, systems engineering, or pre-sales experience for enterprise networking environments.
• Strong customer-facing communication, presentation, and consultative selling skills.
• Ability to translate complex technical requirements into practical business solutions.
• Collaborates effectively with customers, partners, sales teams, and executives.
• Experience supporting State, Local Government, or Education (SLED) customers.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Territory Managers to identify, qualify, and close new business.
• Design end-to-end networking solutions addressing customer requirements.
• Deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, workshops, and PoCs.
• Develop technical proposals, solution architectures, and implementation recommendations.
• Positioning HPE Networking solutions against competitive offerings by clearly articulating technical advantages and business value.
• Building and maintaining long-term relationships with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders.
• Supporting channel partners and demand-generation activities within the territory.
• Maintaining a strong understanding of emerging networking technologies and competitive market trends.
• Managing a healthy sales pipeline while supporting complex enterprise opportunities from discovery through deployment.
