Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Senior Mortgage Underwriter to play a critical role in turning homeownership dreams into reality. The role is primarily remote with occasional onsite meetings, and you will assess Conventional, FHA, and VA loan files in line with investor guidelines.

You should have 5+ years of mortgage underwriting experience, active FHA DE and VA SAR/LAPP approvals, and a strong attention to detail. This position offers competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits through Jobot.

• Active FHA Direct Endorsement (DE) and VA SAR/LAPP underwriting approval.
• Minimum 5 years of mortgage underwriting experience.

• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite Conventional, FHA, and VA loans per guidelines.
• Submit files through automated underwriting and evaluate results.
• Approve or pend loans and present to loan committee.
• Serve as underwriting resource for branch partners.
• Maintain 24–48 hour turnaround on submissions.
• Ensure accurate loan documentation and file maintenance.
• Utilize office systems and tools to support underwriting operations.
