Jobot is seeking a Senior Mortgage Underwriter for a mostly remote role, with occasional onsite meetings as needed. You will decision on Conventional, FHA, and VA loans and collaborate with branch partners to close loans.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years mortgage underwriting experience.
• Active FHA Direct Endorsement (DE) and VA SAR/LAPP approvals preferred.
• Strong customer service mindset with collaborative approach.
• Experience working with mortgage and lending partners cross-functionally.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite Conventional, FHA, and VA loans per guidelines
• Submit files through automated underwriting systems and evaluate results
• Approve or pend loans and present files to loan committee
• Serve as underwriting resource for branch partners
• Maintain a 24–48 hour turnaround on new submissions and resubmissions
• Ensure accurate loan documentation and file maintenance
• Utilize office systems to support underwriting operations
