Job summary

Beacon Hill Staffing Group is seeking a Senior Manager, Application Development to lead design and delivery of enterprise-scale applications and cloud-based solutions. This hands-on leadership role blends solution architecture with engineering management, guiding a team of engineers in a remote setting.

Responsibilities include setting technical direction, driving architecture decisions, and collaborating with product and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure APIs and integrations

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive software engineering experience.
• 5+ years in technical leadership or engineering management.
• Hands-on architecture and solution design experience.
• Strong Java and Spring Boot development background.
• Extensive REST APIs, microservices, and enterprise integrations.
• Experience designing cloud solutions on AWS and distributed architectures.
• Experience leading distributed engineering teams and Agile delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design, and delivery of enterprise applications and modernization efforts.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership across Java, APIs, microservices, and AWS.
• Develop high and low level solution designs and drive implementations.
• Mentor a team of 5–7 engineers and oversee project execution.
• Collaborate with product, architecture, engineering, and business stakeholders.
• Champion cloud-native patterns, API-first design, and CI/CD practices.
