Job summary

Beacon Hill Staffing Group is seeking a Senior Manager, Application Development to lead the design and delivery of enterprise-scale applications, APIs, and cloud solutions in a fully remote role. You will balance hands-on technical leadership with people management across a 5–7 engineer team.

In this role, you will drive architecture, oversee RESTful services and microservices on AWS, mentor developers, ensure CI/CD and DevSecOps practices, and partner with product and architecture stakeholders

Qualifications

10+ years in software engineering and development.
5+ years of technical leadership and/or engineering management experience.
Strong hands-on architecture and solution design experience.
Proven track record with Java and Spring Boot.
Extensive experience with REST APIs, microservices, and enterprise integrations.
Strong cloud experience on AWS and event-driven architectures.
Experience leading distributed engineering teams and applying Agile/DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

Lead architecture, design, and delivery of enterprise applications and modernization initiatives.
Provide hands-on technical leadership across Java, APIs, microservices, AWS, and AI-enabled solutions.
Develop high-level and low-level solution designs and ensure successful implementation.
Lead and mentor a team of approximately 5-7 engineers.
Drive projects from design through production delivery and collaboration with stakeholders.
