Job summary
Cognizant is seeking an experienced Senior Mainframe with 7+ years of MQ, mainframe technologies, and Healthcare Claims processing to lead design, development, support, and optimization of MQ-based messaging solutions and Claims applications.
The role requires collaboration with onsite and offshore teams, technical leadership and mentoring, code reviews, and ensuring scalable, compliant solutions while supporting SIT, UAT, production deployments and post-implementation activities.
Qualifications
- Strong experience with mainframe technologies, including CICS and MQ.
- Experience with Healthcare Claims Adjudication processes.
- Understanding of code migration and release management.
- Experience with package creation and code promotion across environments.
- Knowledge of post-deployment validation and backout procedures.
- Analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration.
- Experience in Agile development environments.
- Ability to work independently within a team.
Responsibilities
- Develop scalable mainframe solutions for Claims applications.
- Design, develop, test, and maintain Claims apps using CICS and MQ.
- Collaborate with analysts, QA, PMs and support teams for project delivery.
- Provide technical leadership and mentor offshore team members.
- Serve as point of contact for technical issue resolution.
- Troubleshoot production issues and optimize performance.
- Conduct code reviews and ensure coding standards.
- Support SIT, UAT, deployments and post-implementation activities.
