Job summary

Ensono is seeking a Senior Mainframe Systems Programmer to lead z/OS initiatives, including installation, testing, and maintenance of system software. The role requires deep expertise in z/OS components, TSO/ISPF, SDSF, and JCL, with strong problem-solving and teamwork abilities.

The ideal candidate will mentor junior staff, participate in on-call rotations, and drive incident resolution while collaborating with vendors to optimize mainframe environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10+ years in a mainframe environment.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Knowledge of z/OS installation and maintenance including SMP/E.
• Advanced knowledge of TSO/ISPF, SDSF, JCL.
• Advanced knowledge of Unix System Services (USS).
• Experience installing software within USS.

Responsibilities

• Incident, change and problem handling.
• Configuration and customization of systems.
• Setup of parameters for z/OS environments.
• Communication with vendors and cross-functional teams.
• PARMLIB configuration and JES2 customization.
