Job summary

Forward Air Corp. in the United States seeks a Senior Account Manager - LTL to lead strategic customer portfolios, drive retention and profitable revenue growth, and partner with executive stakeholders to align supply chain initiatives.

The role requires deep transportation knowledge, cross-functional leadership, and the ability to influence decisions across Operations, Pricing and Sales. Travel is required; remote work offered.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics or related field.
• 5+ years in transportation, logistics, or account management with strategic accounts.
• Strong business acumen with ability to analyze data and drive growth.
• Proven ability to lead executive discussions and develop account growth plans.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
• Ability to influence cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of strategic and complex transportation customers and serve as trusted advisor.
• Identify, pursue, and close new shipping opportunities within accounts and target markets.
• Develop and execute strategic account growth plans aligned with customer initiatives.
• Collaborate with operations to ensure service performance and resolve complex challenges.
• Analyze spend, patterns, and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and value.
