Job summary

Forward Air Corporation is seeking a Senior Account Manager - Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) to lead and grow a portfolio of strategic customers. You will partner with executive stakeholders to develop strategic plans, identify opportunities, and drive profitable revenue growth while ensuring exceptional service performance.

The role requires 5+ years in transportation or related fields, strong negotiation and analytics, and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

Undergraduate degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Transportation or related field.
5+ years in transportation, logistics, account management, or related customer-facing roles.
Proven ability to manage strategic customer relationships and executive-level discussions.
Strong business acumen with the ability to analyze financial, operational and customer performance data.
Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams and manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

Lead a portfolio of strategic and complex transportation customers and serve as a trusted advisor to executive stakeholders.
Identify, pursue, and close new shipping opportunities within assigned accounts and target markets.
Develop and execute strategic account growth plans aligned with customer supply chain initiatives.
Collaborate with operations teams to ensure successful execution and service performance.
Analyze customer spend, shipping patterns, network activity, and market trends to identify growth opportunities.
Prepare and lead Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and executive business reviews with customer leadership.
