Job summary

Lumen seeks a Customer Insights Manager to drive the Enterprise Customer Insights Roadmap. You will design and execute complex insights projects, partnering with marketing, product, operations, and sales to guide customer-centric decisions that fuel growth.

You will lead live interviews, quantitative studies, and cross-channel analytics to uncover trends, measure awareness, and shape GTM strategies, while ensuring data governance and privacy standards across initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Psychology, Statistics, or related field.
• 5–7 years of experience in B2B Customer Insights.
• Experience in the technology or software industry.
• Experience analyzing quantitative customer data using statistics to identify meaningful patterns and opportunities.
• Strong survey design, programming and distribution skills.
• Hands-on experience planning and conducting live customer interviews.
• Proven ability to manage external insights vendors and keep studies on scope, on time, and on budget.
• Ability to turn insights into clear, compelling stories for executive audiences.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct live customer interviews, then turn them into themes and recommendations.
• Conduct deep-dives to uncover buying and behavioral patterns, opportunities, risks, and white spaces.
• Design and run survey-based quantitative studies covering questionnaire development, sampling, fielding, and analysis.
• Lead brand and market insights projects measuring awareness, perception, and positioning across B2B segments.
• Test product concepts, offers, and messaging for data-grounded GTM decisions.
• Generate digital product insights using cross-channel analytics to improve the customer experience.
• Apply advanced analytics and predictive modeling to identify trends for marketing strategy.
• Manage insights vendors from scoping to delivery.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure data governance and privacy standards.
