Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Senior Labor Compliance Specialist to lead our labor compliance program, with responsibilities spanning audits, policy updates, and investigations. The role can be remote or office-based in San Diego, CA, with discussion of specifics during the interview process.

You will oversee the Labor Compliance group, coordinate audits, stay current on laws, and participate in external reviews, trainings, and industry organizations to uphold our nationwide compliance standards.

Qualifications

• Seven years experience in labor compliance in the construction industry.
• Knowledge of the laws surrounding labor.
• Familiarity with construction industry contract types and language.
• Ability to comprehend Government and other regulations and determine proper applicability.
• Current on industry issues related to labor compliance.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• All Senior Labor Compliance Specialist responsibilities.
• Manage labor compliance group, overseeing labor compliance across the company.
• Coordinate and perform periodic internal audits of labor compliance procedures.
• Monitor and stay abreast of applicable laws and regulations that might affect labor compliance policies and procedures. Identify and share best control practices, including software, as it relates to labor compliance, and advise on needed changes to be implemented in such.
• Manage the investigation of identified or reported compliance issues, working in conjunction with business leadership, and appropriate SI departments, determine appropriate action.
• Participate in third party/Government reviews, audits and inquiries, working in conjunction with the appropriate departments and outside resources.
• Identify, develop and participate in needed training on labor compliance efforts.
• Attend external training and actively participate in industry related compliance organizations to ensure Company is aware of and prepared for current trends/issues associated with the labor compliance areas.
