Cognizant is seeking a Senior Java Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices.

You will collaborate with architects, QA, DevOps, product owners, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality technology solutions while mentoring junior engineers and promoting best practices.

The position is remote in the United States with preference for candidates in the Eastern Time Zone; visa sponsorship is not offered.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field.
8+ years of experience in software development using Java technologies.
Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture.
Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs and web services.
Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and best practices.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and enhance enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture.
Build, maintain, and optimize RESTful APIs and backend services.
Collaborate with architects, developers, QA engineers, and DevOps teams.
Troubleshoot application issues and implement scalable, high-performance solutions.
Mentor junior developers and contribute to technical leadership and code quality.
