Ad Hoc is seeking a Senior Researcher for a fully remote position. The role focuses on research leadership within government-focused product teams, shaping research strategy, and mentoring junior researchers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of relevant experience.
• Prior experience mentoring junior-level team members.
• Extensive experience with research principles, methodologies, and relevant technologies.
• Strong understanding of adjacent disciplines and how research work impacts product, program, and business goals.

Responsibilities

• Support the team in meeting scope, schedule, and delivery requirements.
• Lead research strategy and influence improvements in processes and practices.
• Build relationships with team members, government and company stakeholders, and program management.
• Plan, conduct, analyze, and share research based on team questions, needs, and goals.
• Coach and mentor researchers, providing actionable feedback for growth.
• Oversee research scope and communicate results to stakeholders.
• Uphold VA.gov IA standards and guidance in product design and implementation.
• Identify risks and propose mitigations to leadership.
• Contribute to governance discussions and documentation.
