Job summary

Syms Strategic Group, LLC is seeking a Senior Functional Analyst to join our federal programs team in a fully remote capacity. This role supports the Veterans Affairs portfolio with requirements elicitation and Agile delivery.

You will lead stakeholder interviews, document functional and technical requirements, manage backlog items in JIRA, and ensure proper traceability across user stories, tests, and acceptance criteria within a SAFe framework.

Qualifications

Experience with Agile/SAFe methodologies in federal project environments.
Excellent written and oral communication for complex technical topics.
Strong attention to detail, customer service, and problem-solving abilities.
Experience documenting and validating requirements across Tech and business teams.

Responsibilities

Lead the capture of business requirements for software development teams.
Collaborate with users, IT, and leadership to elaborate and document requirements in an ALM tool.
Manage requirements in an ALM tool and perform Agile requirement management.
Develop and maintain product backlog items, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
Ensure traceability amongst requirements, test cases, and risks.
