Job summary

FNTS is seeking a Sr. IBM iSeries Engineer to maintain customer IBM i environments, plan migrations, and support break/fix issues. The role focuses on ensuring high availability and robust backups within a managed services framework.

Work is remote from anywhere in the US; effective collaboration with clients and team members is essential. Prior experience with LPARs, OS upgrades, and automation tools is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Experience administering IBM iSeries environments (10+ years).
• Familiarity with i/OS from V5R4 to V7R3 and POWER hardware.

Responsibilities

• Respond to incidents and requests with in-depth analysis to meet SLAs.
• Proactively review issues to avoid future problems as part of Continuous Improvement.
• Maintain and configure IBM i OS and LPPs; plan migrations and backups.
