Maximus is seeking a Senior IBM COBOL Developer to support our Internal Revenue Service (IRS) client in a fully remote capacity. The role requires an active IRS Moderate-Risk Background Investigation (MBI) and a strong background in IBM COBOL, DB2, CICS, and related mainframe technologies.

The position emphasizes leadership in software design, coding, testing, and documentation, with collaboration across teams and mentoring junior developers.

Formación

• Five or more years of relevant professional experience required.
• Active IRS Moderate-Risk Background Investigation (MBI) required.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the development of software solutions meeting business requirements including design, implementation, unit testing and troubleshooting.
• Evaluate new coding techniques and tools and implement as appropriate.
• Consult on requirements elicitation and definition; design software per specifications.
