Job summary

Sentara Health is seeking a Senior Healthcare Data Analyst to translate vendor specifications into thorough data mappings aligned with the Enterprise Data Platform. This fully remote role reports to the analytics team, collaborating with stakeholders and technical peers to ensure accurate data integration and delivery across the analytics ecosystem.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and brings advanced Excel, SQL, Power BI, and Databricks skills, plus experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in analytics, statistics, informatics, business, public health, or related field.
• Advanced-level skills in Microsoft Excel, SQL, Power BI, data validation, Databricks.
• Experience developing source-to-target mapping documentation, business requirements, and technical specifications.
• Ability to interpret source system documentation, file specifications, data dictionaries and requirements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and documentation or collaboration platforms such as SharePoint, Confluence, or similar tools.
• Experience solving business problems with data.
• Experience supporting QA, UAT, production implementation, and post-deployment validation activities.
• Experience working with healthcare, payer, claims, enrollment, provider, or other regulated data domains.

Responsibilities

• Provide data analysis support and convert vendor file specs, layouts, and business requirements into detailed data mapping documentation.
• Serve as liaison among business stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams to ensure proper data integration, transformation, and delivery.
• Support data quality and data stewardship to maintain data accuracy.
• Use analytic skills to offer data-driven conclusions and recommendations to business partners.
