Sentara Health is seeking a Senior Healthcare Data Analyst to support data mapping and governance across the enterprise analytics ecosystem. This remote role focuses on converting vendor specifications into mappings aligned with EDP structures and business rules, while collaborating with stakeholders and technical teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in analytics, statistics, informatics, business, public health, or related field.
• Advanced-level skills in Excel, SQL, Power BI, data validation, and Databricks.
• Experience developing source-to-target mapping documentation, business requirements, and technical specifications.
• Ability to interpret source system documentation, file specifications, data dictionaries and requirements.
• Proficiency with SharePoint, Confluence, or similar documentation/collaboration tools.
• Experience solving business problems with data.
• Experience supporting QA, UAT, production implementation, and post-deployment validation.
• Experience working with healthcare, payer, claims, enrollment, provider, or other regulated data domains.

Responsibilities

• Convert vendor file specifications, layouts, and business requirements into detailed data mapping documentation that aligns source data elements with EDP structures.
• Serve as liaison among business stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams to ensure correct data delivery.
• Support data quality and data stewardship to maintain data accuracy across analytics ecosystem.
• Provide data-driven conclusions and recommendations to business partners.
