Job summary

Sentara Health is hiring a Senior Healthcare Data Analyst in a fully remote role. You will transform vendor specifications into precise data mappings for the Enterprise Data Platform and ensure data is integrated, validated, and delivered across the analytics ecosystem.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years in data analysis, data mapping, ETL, or data warehousing, with strong Excel, SQL, Power BI, and Databricks skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in analytics, statistics, informatics, business, public health, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of data analysis, mapping, ETL, or data warehouse experience.
• Advanced Excel, SQL, Power BI, data validation, and Databricks skills.
• Ability to interpret source system docs and file specifications.
• Experience with QA/UAT, production implementation, and post-deployment validation.
• Experience with healthcare, payer, claims, enrollment, or regulated data domains.

Responsibilities

• Convert vendor file specifications into detailed data mapping documentation.
• Align source data elements with Enterprise Data Platform structures and business rules.
• Serve as liaison among business stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams.
• Support data quality and data stewardship to maintain data accuracy.
• Provide data-driven conclusions and recommendations to business partners.
• Support QA, UAT, and post-deployment validation activities.
