Job summary

Sentara Health is hiring a Senior Healthcare Data Analyst for a fully remote role in the United States. The role converts vendor specifications into data mapping aligned with the Enterprise Data Platform and applies business rules to ensure accurate data integration.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in analytics or related field with at least 3 years of data analysis, mapping, ETL, and data warehousing experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in analytics, statistics, informatics, business, public health, or related field (Required).
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in data analysis, business analysis, data mapping, ETL, data warehouse, or related data environments.
• Experience developing source-to-target mapping documentation, business requirements, and technical specifications.
• Ability to interpret source system documentation, file specifications, data dictionaries and requirements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and documentation or collaboration platforms such as SharePoint, Confluence, or similar tools.
• Looking for someone with experience solving business problems with data.
• Experience supporting QA, UAT, production implementation, and post-deployment validation activities.
• Experience working with healthcare, payer, claims, enrollment, provider, or other regulated data domains.

Responsibilities

• Translate vendor file specs and business rules into detailed data mapping documentation.
• Act as liaison among business stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams.
• Ensure data is integrated, transformed, validated, and delivered within the analytics ecosystem.
• Support data quality and data stewardship activities to maintain accuracy.
• Provide data-driven conclusions and recommendations to business partners.
