Job summary

The American Heart Association is seeking a Sr. Grant Administrator for the Voices for Healthy Kids team. This home-based capable role coordinates complex grant operations, translating program goals into budgets, systems, and processes to ensure efficiency, accountability, and impact.

You will monitor grant spend, ensure compliance, and collaborate across finance, legal, operations, and development to enable successful grantmaking and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• 5 years of meaningful experience required.

Responsibilities

• Integrates grant requirements into the program and monitors processes; develops and maintains internal records and systems to support program management.
• Monitors budgets and spending; collaborates with financial management staff; responsible for all budget reporting, including forecasting and variance reporting.
• Coordinates program budget development with Mission Advancement, the Office of Funded Programs, and leadership teams to align with funder expectations and internal controls.
• Monitor budgets and expenditures, analyze financial activity (procurement, contracts, vendor invoices) and provide variance reporting, forecasting, and reconciliation guidance.
• Coordinates work with internal stakeholders across staff functions (finance, legal, operations, development, advocacy, business technology) within policy.
• Develop and maintain internal systems, controls, and documentation to support audit readiness and program management.
• Act as Voices technology coordinator, coordinating with Business Technologies to optimize systems supporting grantmaking and reporting.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal teams, external partners, and grantees to enable collaboration and outcomes.
• Lead or contribute to cross-functional initiatives and project teams requiring coordination, analysis, and change management.
• Contribute to operational planning for grant-making through innovation and system enhancements.
