Job summary

The American Heart Association is seeking a Sr. Grant Administrator for the Voices for Healthy Kids team, with home-based work available.

This role coordinates complex, grant-funded operations and translates program goals into budgets, systems, and processes to ensure efficiency and impact. You will monitor budgets, collaborate with finance, legal, operations, development, advocacy, and technology teams, and may supervise others.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• Experience in grant management and non-profit reporting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Integrates grant requirements into program operations, maintains records and budgets, and provides variance reporting.
• Coordinates program budget development with leadership, ensuring funder alignment and internal controls.
• Monitors budgets, analyzes financial activity, and supports procurement and vendor invoices with reconciliation guidance.
• Collaborates with finance, legal, operations, development, advocacy, and business technology to ensure policy compliance.
• Develops internal systems and documentation to support audit readiness and program management.
• Acts as Voices technology coordinator, optimizing systems for grantmaking and reporting.
• Builds relationships with internal teams, partners, and grantees to enable collaboration and outcomes.
• Leads or contributes to cross-functional initiatives requiring coordination and change management.
• Contributes to strategic planning for grant-making and process enhancements.
• Provides guidance and oversight to team members; may serve as a lead or mentor.
