Job summary

The American Heart Association seeks a Sr. Grant Administrator on the Voices for Healthy Kids team. This home-based role coordinates the strategic execution of complex grant programs, aligning strategy with budgets, compliance, and reporting.

You will lead cross-functional efforts, monitor expenditures, ensure timely deliverables, and mentor staff as needed. A bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience are required, with strong budgeting and grants skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• 5 years of meaningful experience required.
• Highly proficient in grant management, budgeting, and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Integrates grant requirements into the program and monitors processes; develops and maintains records and systems.
• Coordinates program budget development with leadership ensuring alignment with funder expectations.
• Monitor budgets and expenditures; provide variance reporting and forecasting guidance.
• Collaborates with internal stakeholders across functions ensuring policy compliance.
• Develops and maintains systems, controls, and documentation for audit readiness.
• Acts as Voices technology coordinator to optimize grantmaking systems.
• Builds strong relationships with internal teams, partners, and grantees.
• Leads or contributes to cross-functional initiatives and project teams.
• Contributes to operational planning for grant-making efforts and process improvements.
• Provides guidance and oversight to team members; may serve as team lead.
