Job summary

American Heart Association is seeking a Sr. Grant Administrator for the Voices for Healthy Kids team. This role coordinates multi-million-dollar grant operations, aligns program goals with budgets, and ensures compliance and timely deliverables across departments.

You will supervise or lead others as needed, coordinate with finance, legal, operations, and development teams, and optimize systems for grant reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 5 years of meaningful experience.
• Strong accounting and budgeting skills with grant knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Integrates grant requirements into the program and monitors processes.
• Develops and maintains internal records and systems to support program management.
• Monitors budgets and spending, collaborates with financial management staff; responsible for all budget reporting.
• Provides relevant analysis as needed.
• Coordinates program budget development and facilitation with leadership teams.
• Ensures alignment with funder expectations and internal controls.
• Monitor budgets and expenditures and provide variance reporting and forecasting.
• Supports fiscal integrity and alignment with grant objectives.
• Coordinates work with internal stakeholders across staff functions.
• Ensures activities comply with AHA policy.
• Develops internal systems, controls, and documentation for audit readiness.
• Act as Voices technology coordinator to optimize systems supporting grantmaking.
• Builds relationships with internal teams and grantees to enable collaboration.
• Leads or contributes to cross-functional initiatives and project teams.
• Contributes to planning for grant-making with system enhancements.
