Job summary

The American Heart Association is seeking a Sr. Grant Administrator to coordinate complex grant-funded operations for Voices for Healthy Kids. This role supports budgets, reporting, compliance and cross-team collaboration, with potential team leadership. Home-based work is available.

You will translate program goals into budgets and processes, monitor spending, and help drive end-to-end grant making with stakeholders across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 5 years of meaningful experience.
• Required Skills include a broad set of accounting, analytical, budgeting, grant, and project-management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Integrates grant requirements into the program and monitors processes; develops and maintains internal records and systems to support program management.
• Monitors budgets and spending; collaborates with financial management staff; responsible for all budget reporting, including forecasting and variance reporting.
• Coordinates program budget development and facilitation with departments and leadership to align with funder expectations and internal controls.
• Monitor budgets and expenditures, analyze financial activity, provide variance reporting and forecasting guidance; support fiscal integrity.
• Coordinate work with internal stakeholders across finance, legal, operations, development, advocacy and tech; ensure adherence to policy.
• Develop and maintain internal systems, controls and documentation for audit readiness and effective program management.
• Act as Voices technology coordinator; optimize systems supporting grantmaking and reporting.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal teams, external partners and grantees for collaboration.
• Lead or contribute to cross-functional initiatives requiring coordination, analysis and change management.
• Contribute to operational planning for grant-making via system improvements to improve transparency and reduce burden.
• Provide coaching and oversight to team members; may serve as team lead or player/coach.
