Job summary

Merck is seeking a Field Structure and Alignment Senior Specialist to partner with cross-functional teams on restructures, product launches, and deployment planning. You will lead alignment design, maintain field structures, and ensure compliant, scalable solutions across the lifecycle of the work.

You will support operational leadership, call deck maintenance, and continuous improvement while collaborating with stakeholders across sales, data management, and analytics functions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in field sales, master data management, sales operations, or an organization that supports field sales.
• Strong project management skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate, plan, and execute.
• Business acumen, problem-solving ability, and understanding of sales and marketing principles.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Planning & Partnership: Partner with cross-functional stakeholders early in restructures, product launches, and deployment planning to ensure alignment requirements are considered in upstream design and implementation.
• Full-Lifecycle Alignment Support: Support the design, execution, and maintenance of field sales structure and alignment activities across the full lifecycle of the work.
• Execution & Compliance: Execute field sales structure and alignment changes in accordance with compliant operational processes and business requirements.
• Vendor & Team Stewardship: Manage the day-to-day work of Alignment Stewards supporting alignment changes in ZAIDYN.
• Operational Leadership: Lead daily operations with a focus on prioritization, responsiveness, and continuous improvement.
• Downstream Alignment Support: Support call deck maintenance and related field sales operational activities.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Participate on cross-functional project teams supporting field sales priorities and broader business initiatives.
• Process Improvement: Identify and help implement opportunities to improve processes, tools, governance, and capabilities in support of strategic and operational objectives.
• Training & Enablement: Facilitate the development and implementation of training and communication plans related to ZAIDYN utilization for field sales managers and other stakeholders.
• Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify risks, dependencies, and downstream impacts associated with field alignment changes and recommend mitigation actions.
• Operating Model Evolution: Contribute to the evolution of the operating model to improve agility, scalability, and business impact.
