Job summary

ABB is seeking a field service professional in the US to perform on-site service work, manage installations, maintenance, and upgrades for critical power equipment. You will identify operational improvements, ensure safety and quality, and communicate timelines to customers.

The role requires 4+ years with electrical power equipment, strong communication, and project-management capability. Relocation to Virginia is possible; travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 4+ years servicing critical power equipment.
• Advanced communication skills (written and verbal) across organizational levels.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; able to manage projects in MS Project or Excel.
• Ability to write test plans and reports detailing results.
• Strong organizational skills and deadline-driven administrative work.
• Demonstrates urgency and ownership until completion.
• Candidates must have work authorization to work in the US.

Responsibilities

• Work on-site with customers to identify opportunities for operational improvement.
• Perform field service tasks and on-site troubleshooting within certified areas.
• Execute installation, commissioning, maintenance, upgrades, and replacements.
• Coach and train technicians; supervise complex site activities as needed.
• Prepare material lists and ensure quality standards for parts and equipment.
