Job summary

Centene Corporation is seeking a seasoned software engineer to design, develop, and deploy complex enterprise solutions across the healthcare domain. You will collaborate with data modelers, architects, and analysts to deliver end-to-end data processing, reporting, and automation capabilities.

Key work includes SQL Server development, C# application work, SSIS ETL packages, and letter-generation workflows. The role supports hybrid/remote work with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field and 4–6 years of related experience.
• 4–6 years of Microsoft SQL Server development (T-SQL, stored procedures, indexing, tuning).
• 3+ years of C# development and 3+ years of SSIS development.
• Experience with EDI and Healthcare/Managed Care data is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement complex enterprise software solutions.
• Create, optimize, and re-engineer SQL Server objects for data staging and transformation.
• Own, maintain, and enhance the in-house letter application using C# and Word/PDF workflows.
• Develop and support SSIS packages for ETL, file processing, and document conversion.
• Schedule, monitor, and troubleshoot jobs using ActiveBatch.
• Create technical documentation and communicate issues to stakeholders.
