Job summary

Qualus is hiring a Lead Engineer in Transmission Line Design to plan, direct, and coordinate civil/structural analyses and project delivery for high voltage transmission lines. Responsibilities include producing calculations, drawings, specs, and bid packages while guiding team members and coordinating with field crews.

The role requires 5–10+ years of overhead transmission line design experience, a PE license, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related field from ABET accredited school.
• 5-10+ years of overhead transmission line design experience.
• PE license required.
• Willingness to travel up to 15%.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Completion of calculations, construction drawings, contracts, technical specifications, design standards, and construction of transmission lines.
• Perform civil/structural engineering analyses and design for transmission line layout and design through 500kV
• Prepares a variety of complex engineering deliverables
• Coordinate construction activities with technical support and timely review of submittals
• Provide technical direction to others and aid in the direction of work as required
