Job summary

Leidos in Maryland is seeking a network architect to design secure, scalable enterprise IT solutions for DoD environments. You will lead network design, evaluate legacy systems, and produce architecture documents that align with approved patterns.

You will collaborate with stakeholders, ensure DoD accreditation readiness, and support migration and lifecycle refresh activities across LAN/WAN, VPN, and security technologies.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret clearance required.
• DoD IAT Level II (Security+) certification required.
• CCNA or equivalent certification required.
• Experience documenting designs with drawing tools (Visio/PowerPoint/Gliffy/Cameo/MagicDraw).
• Strong troubleshooting and site survey experience.
• Experience migrating circuits and data between environments or to a cloud provider.
• Broad exposure to LAN/WAN, TCP/UDP, IPSec, VPN, Proxies, Routing, Firewalls.
• Ability to present designs to technical leadership.

Responsibilities

• Plan and design secure network solutions consolidating connectivity services.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to discover legacy environments and develop designs.
• Design secure WAN with underlay/overlay/COI transport.
• Provide secure access solutions using wired and wireless technologies.
• Integrate capacity planning for networks and security stacks.
• Identify and implement network optimization strategies to meet capacity and performance.
• Develop to-be enterprise service designs balancing security and maintainability.
• Support IP addressing across IPv4 and IPv6.
• Coordinate with information assurance teams on DoD accreditation artifacts.
