Job summary

Workiva Inc. is seeking a Senior Director of Strategic Planning and Analysis to own the long-range planning framework and lead AI-powered forecasting and analytics.

You’ll translate strategy into multi-year targets, drive investment prioritization, and craft narratives for executives, Boards, and investors. The role offers high visibility with a direct line to the SVP of Strategic Business Finance, with potential to build a team as scope grows, and requires strong cross-functional partnership

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field.
• 12+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, strategic finance, corporate strategy, or analytics.
• Ownership of an LRP or multi-year financial model.
• Advanced financial modeling and data analysis with AI in planning/forecasting.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication with executive presence.
• Proficiency in modern AI models, SQL, BI tools, ERP, and planning platforms.
• Strategic thinker connecting numbers to strategy and market context.
• Adaptive and able to thrive in ambiguity and shifting priorities.
• Track record of influencing senior stakeholders and cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and building a team.

Responsibilities

• Own the Long Range Planning framework, assumptions, financial model, and refreshes with executive input.
• Translate strategy into financial targets, investments, and multi-year scenarios for profitable growth.
• Develop ARR-based models for LRP and annual planning with Go-To-Market and FP&A partners.
• Lead scenario planning and sensitivity analyses for strategic trade-offs and risk.
• Design and run LRP to tie to annual plan and near-term outlook.
• Advance AI-powered planning and analytics, including narrative reporting.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, G&A, and Go-To-Market to align plans with strategy.
• Prepare executive, Board, and investor-ready materials.
